So your tent is set up and you’ve got everything you need to chill at the campsite. A comfy seat, a lovely view, a frosty brew. All is right in the world … until you accidentally set that beer on a stray bit of brush and it tips, spilling your suds and sense of peace all over the dirt.

OK, maybe that exact thing hasn’t happened to you. But you’ve no doubt encountered the annoying scenario at a campsite, picnic or beach outing of not having a flat surface on which to rest stuff. 

Thankfully, Crazy Creek just launched a handy solution. Compact and lightweight, the brand’s new Pack Table unfolds to provide a gloriously stable space for placing drinks, food and other items that can benefit from a bit of engineered equilibrium.

In case you are unfamiliar, Crazy Creek has a long history of creating portable solutions that help you get comfortable in the outdoors. Based in Red Lodge, Montana, the brand came to life in 1987 when founder Rob Hart sought a better place to plop on your tuchus in the woods. 

He and his girlfriend Louise Chandler ultimately developed the Original Chair, a colorful bit of folding magic the company still sells. It perfectly encapsulates the Crazy Creek slogan: “Just sit there.”

Now, if you’d like to just sit there with a beer and a snack, you can bring along the Pack Table. Folded up for travel, it measures 6″ x 6″ x 2″ and weighs just over a pound (19 ounces). Fully deployed, it offers a square foot of tabletop, supported by adjustable legs that can extend, in one-inch increments, from 5 to 8 inches. 

The Pack Table is made in Montana from recyclable polypropylene material, with a keystone and shock cord framework to ensure stability and spring-assisted legs to maintain an upright position during setup.

It pairs well with seats that are lower to the ground, such as the aforementioned Original Chair and another portable product we’ve been obsessed with lately, Grand Trunk’s Compass 360° Swivel Stool. 

Once erected, the table seems ideal for resting drinks, food, games, lanterns and other essentials not only at campsites but also pretty much any other outdoor setting, from the backyard to the beach. In other words… problem solved.
