There are a lot of brands in the EDC knifemaking space — so many that you might not expect to find worthwhile knives outside of the go-to brands.

But occasionally, a brand that doesn’t specifically trade in bladed tools (at least not exclusively) comes along with a knife worth checking out. That’s precisely the case with Craighill’s G10 Lark Knife.

Back and better than ever

The Lark is a returning design for Craighill. However, this version differs from the original Lark in several ways.

Whereas the first release of this knife was all-metal, this one sees its scales swapped for G10. That change sees two new colorways available: black and blue.

More importantly, this knife is even lighter than the first iteration. While the original was positively featherweight at just a single ounce, this one is half as heavy at 0.5 ounces.

That makes carrying it in your EDC — even on your keychain — more effortless than ever.

The key to your EDC

Like its predecessor, this version of the Craighill Lark is positively compact. But it is also extremely well-built.

The knife measures just 4.1 inches overall, 1.5 of which is its drop-point blade. That blade is crafted from 8Cr13MoV steel, which is on the affordable side of the spectrum but has respectable corrosion resistance, is easy to sharpen and is often compared to AUS-8.

As mentioned, the handle scales are G10, which is grippy, lightweight, durable and resistant to warping with temperature swings. Hidden within, the knife also has a liner lock that helps boost its safety and security and goes great with the flipper deployment.

It also has a keychain loop on the tail, which you can use to attach the knife to your EDC carabiner (or whatever device you use to haul your keys). It’s an impressive array of features in such an inexpensive, small knife.

Available now

Perhaps the Craighill G10 Lark’s best feature is its affordability. Regardless of which color option you choose—black or blue—it will only cost you $58 ($30 less than the original).

Both options are now available on the brand’s site.
