This Micro-Sized Utility Knife Can Open Packages and Beers

The Artisan Cutlery branch’s slider-deployed razor-based knife has a bevy of additional, useful functions.

·

We’re only a week into February, and there’s already been a bevy of pretty interesting and unique utility knives released in 2024 — largely via the crowdfunding platform, Kickstarter. And another has just come along to tug at our heartstrings. However, the source might be a little surprising to some.

CJRB, the affordable offshoot of Artisan Cutlery, just dropped its Breeze utility knife onto Kickstarter. And wouldn’t you know it: it’s already fully funded nearly five times over with over a month left in the campaign. But here’s the real kicker: that funding is likely to jump even higher, as this clever little utility knife is much more than meets the eye.

‘Tiny but mighty’ is certainly a phrase that might apply to this mini multi-tool.

The CRJB Breeze is palm-sized and perfect for EDC

Measuring up at just 3.1 inches in total length (when closed) and 1.18 inches wide, the Breeze is positively tiny. Yet, it can still house any standard-sized utility blade — including those made by major brands like Stanley or Tajima. Better still, the deployment — a little button slider — is as intuitive and simple as it is dependable and reliable.

The construction, in all formats, is also pretty rock solid, with the brand offering versions in titanium, titanium and aluminum, steel, and steel and aluminum — all of which, otherwise, have the same dimensions.

Along with a cutting blade, the Breeze boasts a hex wrench and ruler and even works as a bottle opener.

Cutting isn’t the only thing the Breeze can do

While this tiny titan’s cutting power is obviously its biggest selling point, it’s far from the only thing this knife can do. On the tail opposite the razor, the Breeze also has a standard-sized hex slot, which doubles as a wrench and a bit driver (it fits any standard-sized bits). Along its edge, it has a 1.5-inch ruler. And, perhaps best of all, the reverse side of the tool has a functional bottle opener indent, so you can celebrate a job well done with a cold one.

All of that is to say that this palm-sized knife is made to ensure you’re always ready to tackle whatever might come your way. And while there are a lot of knives and multi-tools that might boast similar capabilities, there are few that are this small and look this good.

Four versions and five colorways make for a tough choice

As mentioned, the Kickstarter campaign is already fully funded, meaning the CJRB Breeze is definitely going into production. That being said, there’s still plenty of time to pick out which one is right for you and secure it. That being said, with its four available versions (mentioned above) and five colorways — black, gunmetal, green, yellow and silver — it’s no small task to even narrow that down.

Once you do decide, however, pricing starts as low as $35 for the steel versions and $61 for the titanium versions. Just remember: these are Early Bird prices, meaning you’re going to want to make your selection pretty quickly if you want to secure this price.
