Buck’s 110 Folding Hunter is an EDC knife that needs no introduction. It might just be the most iconic pocket blade ever crafted. However, you might not know that it has a much smaller sibling that boasts all the same timeless styling at a fraction of the size.
Now, this tiny titan is getting some significant upgrades to its individuality and personalization. Buck has just launched the Customizable 55 Knife. Finally, this small pocket knife’s time to shine is upon us.

A bit about the Buck 55
As its name suggests, the Buck 55 is half the size of the 110, but that doesn’t mean it’s half the length. Standard or custom, it has a 2.36-inch blade instead of the 110’s 3.75-inch blade.
Apart from its size, it’s virtually identical to the 110. That includes its clip-point blade shape (with its signature nail nick), handle shape, back lock, matching bolsters, and so on.
It even has the same slipjoint mechanism — which isn’t quite a lock but is more secure than a free-swinging blade or friction folder. That means this minuscule cutting tool packs a lot of power into its relatively small frame.
