Over the last couple of years, Bestech has staked its reputation on some of the most unusual, striking knives in the EDC space. While these gambits pay off nine times out of ten, the brand undoubtedly has a flair for the bizarre.

The Bestech Constellation is another entry in the brand’s ever-expanding catalog that defies expectations. While it’s more traditionally appointed than some of the brand’s other knives, it’s no less exceptional and unexpected.

Unusual ergonomics

The most immediately striking feature of this knife is its silhouette. Its slender, ergonomic handle and relatively thicker tanto blade make it look more like a fixed blade than a folder.

However, as you can see, it is a folder. In fact, it’s a flipper with a buttery-smooth ceramic ballbearing pivot.

It’s not just the silhouette that gives it its fixed-blade-like looks. The handle scales feature inlays covering most of the knife’s frame lock, making it look sleeker than it otherwise might without sacrificing its functionality.

A masterclass in materials

Not that it’s any surprise, but the Bestech Constellation is more than just good looks. It also has the materials and mechanisms to back it up.

As mentioned, all four versions have a titanium handle. However, the inlays differ slightly. One has twill weave carbon fiber, and the other has Dark Matter Gold carbon fiber. There’s also a Micarta version and, finally, a patterned G10.

The tanto blade is made from MagnaCut steel on all of them. Honestly, you can’t go wrong with any of them, so pick your poison, and you’ll be well off regardless.
