Völkl x Filip Pagowski skisVölkl

Völkl x Filip Pagowski

Best known for the iconic Comme des Garçons Play logo featuring a red heart with black eyes, Polish designer and artist Filip Pagowski is an avid skier with a home in Chamonix. That made him the perfect choice for a limited collection with revered German ski maker Völkl, revisiting a trio of popular models starting at $1,200. The Racetiger SL (left) vibrates with speedy energy, the Peregrine 72 (center) rocks a cast of grippy claws honoring its name, and the Blaze 104 (right) integrates the Völkl logo while signaling its all-terrain tire-like traction.
ruroc rg2 modular ski helmetPresent Ruroc Limited

Ruroc RG2

Fresh off winning an ISPO award last month, Ruroc’s RG2 modular ski/snowboard helmet is now available in seven colorways, including Ghost (shown). This new lid is 7 ounces lighter than the original RG1, with a 29% wider field of view, and boasts RHEON rotation and linear impact protection, a built-in NFC chip and a 360-degree fit system. Most notably, like some downhill mountain bike helmets, it can convert from open face to full face — handy for terrain parks and particularly gnarly descents — in seconds thanks to ICP’s favorite scientific discovery: magnets.

Seirus HeatTouch Hellfire Magne Mitt

Behold what just might be the warmest, most versatile mitten on the planet. For warmth, it boasts 370-gram insulation and a rechargeable battery-powered heat panel with three settings for up to 12 hours of toastiness. For versatility, the innovative magnetized opening releases your fingers or whole hand for tasks requiring more manual dexterity. Bonus: Touchscreen-friendly tech woven into the outer leather lets you use your phone — assuming it’s not frozen — with your hand safely inside.
Helly Hansen Odin Everdown Hooded JacketHelly Hansen

Helly Hansen Odin Everdown Hooded Jacket

Helly Hansen’s lightest performance down jacket to date is bursting with features that will serve you well from cold city streets to the backcountry. Available in three colors and five sizes for both men and women, the Odin Everdown pairs a 100% recycled 10-denier ripstop face fabric with a down sheet that eliminates cold spots. There’s also an insulated hood, a PFC-free DWR treatment, RECCO reflector and stuff sack for packing it down to the size of a Chipotle burrito, but weighing much less: 10.6 ounces for women and 12.3 ounces for men.
POC

POC Obex Connect

This snowsport helmet comes with all the features we’ve come to expect — including a Mips safety system, Recco avalanche reflector, adjustable ventilation and a tough outer shell. But it also has an integrated Harmon Kardon headset and mesh communication system so you can keep in contact with your group no matter where you all are on the mountain.
Away

Away The Outdoor Rolling Duffle 85L

The DTC luggage maker continues its march into the adventure luggage segment with its new rugged rolling duffle. The packable front duffle is backed by a lightweight polycarbonate shell and features oversized wheels, storage pockets and a strap compression system for squeezing more inside.
Gore-Tex Outerwear On DemandGore-Tex

Gore-Tex Outerwear On Demand

Tired of lugging loads of ski/snowboard apparel — or have a friend who is just getting started? Gore-Tex’s Outerwear On Demand program, which recently added 15 new locations, is worth a look. Available at or near a number of popular resorts on the east coast, out west and in Canada, the service makes it possible to rent a top-notch kit rather than packing or borrowing one. We’re talking 3L Gore-Tex Pro Jackets and Pants, which promise 100% waterproofing, windproofing and breathability, plus the warmth of PrimaLoft Silver insulation. Everything goes through a 12-point inspection before and after usage to ensure it’s properly shred-ready, and prices vary by location. (At Killington, for example, it’s $45 per day per item or $80 for a full kit.)
thirtytwo lashed double boa x b4bc snowboard bootThirtyTwo

ThirtyTwo x B4BC Women’s Lashed Double BOA Boot

Celebrating a decade-long partnership, ThirtyTwo and Boarding for Breast Cancer have launched this year’s snowboard boot and socks, with a portion of the proceeds going toward B4BC’s mission of providing breast cancer education, prevention and survivorship programs. The headliner is the boot, which as the name suggests boasts a dialed-in dual BOA fit system, plus a comfy cuff and sturdy rubber outsole for all-day riding. The pink B4BC logo on the toe cap and tongue stand out against the green camo that showcases the cause in its own unique way. Fellas, try not to be too jealous: ThirtyTwo offers eight different Lashed Double BOA Boots for men, too.
arcteryx grottoflage collectionArc’teryx

Arc’teryx Grottoflage Collection

The first-ever print to appear in Arc’teryx’s freeride line, Grottoflage is a camo-style pattern that draws inspiration from the brand’s beloved Grotto toque while integrating elements of its logo. With this initial drop focused on snowsports-ready headgear, base layers and outerwear, Arc’teryx plans to extend the treatment to additional products in the future. A limited-edition Grottoflage ski, in collaboration with Atomic, is coming next week. While the Sabre and Sentinel jackets shown here cost $800, pricing starts at $45 for both the microfleece toque and neck gaiter.

bogner sport bond hybrid jacketBogner

Bogner Bond Hybrid Jacket

If you can stomach the Bogner tax, some pieces in the high-end German ski apparel brand’s new BOGNER 007 Collection look pretty sharp. One highlight is this mid-layer, featuring a combo of quilted rip-stop and quick-dry power stretch fabric, a two-way zipper and style that will serve you well from the slopes to the après scene. Fun fact: Bogner comes by this collection honestly, as Willy Bogner Jr. worked as a cameraman on numerous Bond films, and Roger Moore rocks the brand’s gear in three of them.

Arc’teryx Micon LiTRIC 16 Avalanche Airbag

The smallest and lightest of Arcteryx’s latest round of acclaimed avalanche packs, the Micon LiTRIC 16 weighs just 4 pounds, 3 ounces yet delivers everything you need for a safe, fun time in the backcountry. The key ingredient is of course LiTRIC double-wall avy bag tech, which ensures easy deployment and repacking without risk of accidental deployment (there’s even a safety). Powered by a USB-rechargeable lithium-ion battery and ultra-capacitors, it can deliver multiple deployments on a single charge. The bag also features handy pockets for essentials, a dedicated avalanche tool pocket and straps for both ski and snowboard carry.
a floating pair of vuarnet sunglassesVuarnet

Vuarnet Altitude Collection

Premium sunglass maker Vuarnet is well associated with hitting the slopes, and now the classic French brand is driving home its winter sports connection even further with its new Altitude Collection. Three new silhouettes draw inspiration from the funky and stylish ski goggles of the 1970s, making them just as appropriate for après ski as the slopes themselves. The Altitude 03 takes inspiration from the brand’s vintage 06 frame, while the Altitude 02 is modeled after Vuarnet’s original 02 cat-eye shape. The standout is the Altitude 01, pictured above, which features a bio-nylon frame with extensive side shield protection and HD polycarbonate lenses. Non-polarized styles are priced at $320, with the polarized version going for $380.
Norrona

Norrona møre thermo60 aero200 Jacket

Norrona’s new shell insulated shell is a layer intended for active days out on the mountain. It’s highly packable, wind resistant, water repellant, lightweight and features a helmet-compatible hood. And while it’s breathable, the arms are also fully detachable if the jacket’s full layer of thermo60 synthetic insulation has you sweating too much. As our resident outdoor expert, Steve Mazzucchi, notes, “You don’t often see pieces of this quality that can do this.”
smith 4d mag xl goggleSmith Optics

Smith 4D Mag XL Goggle

This new edition of Smith’s popular 4D Mag goggle packs the brand’s best innovations into a super-sized silhouette for unparalleled visibility and OTG (over-the-glass) compatibility. The most notable feature is BirdsEye Vision, a proprietary lens shape that extends and curves below the sightline to increase the field of view; the XL treatment expands the lens geometry by an additional 20%. The lens itself is imbued with ChromaPop, Smith’s clarity-enhancing tech, available in 16 different tints (two are included with purchase), including a naturally adjusting photochromic option. As the name suggests, this goggle also boasts Smith’s excellent magnet-based lens-swapping system, with integrated dual-locking mechanisms on the outriggers, to make adapting to changing light conditions a snap.
Goldwin

Goldwin PERTEX SHIELDAIR Mountaineering Jacket

Japanese outdoor and techwear brand has unveiled a new trekking collection that includes active shorts, hats, hiking pants, t-shirts and jackets. This shell in particular caught out eye due to its unique vent pockets, which can be turned inside out to carry wet clothing on the outside of the jacket.
obermeyer steibis 3l jacketObermeyer

Obermeyer Steibis 3L Jacket

How does a legendary 77-year-old ski apparel brand reinvent itself? By ditching the resort. Obermeyer has done just that with its impressive-looking new Off Grid Collection, highlighted by the Steibis System, a performance-driven capsule of jackets, anoraks and bibs for men and women who dare to brave the backcountry. The shell shown here boasts 3-layer protection, a 30k/30k waterproof and breathability rating, pit zips, a two-way front zipper, pockets where you need them and an adjustable, helmet-compatible hood. One other feature we love? What the brand calls Kit Connect, a series of strategically placed magnets that keep tops and bottoms together and prevent that sweet, sweet pow-pow from sneaking in and freezing your butt off.
