The Altadena 802 Rucksack ($275) is a new backpack that looks old, and that’s a good thing because it looks damn good doing it. It’s a top loading tube shaped ruck, with a zip open pocket on the top flap. It also accepts additional pockets that strap onto the side (shown above) providing you enough room for any weekend getaway, whether it’s hitting the trails or jumping a flight (TSA carry-on compliant, thanks). The minds behind Altadena obviously have quality of construction in mind – no corners are cut with the 803 Rucksack. Just get a load of its feature set: Horween leather bottom and attachment patches, YKK zippers (all with weather flaps), military-spec webbing and cord, marine-grade plastic buckles, and taped internal seams. Time to replace that old Eastpak.
Plenty more images after the jump.
