As you may have heard, gravel biking is so hot right now. Why? Paved roads can get boring fast, yet most road bikes struggle the moment you transition onto any surface that is remotely unstable. With beefier tires, sturdier frames and unique geometry, gravel bikes allow you to send it off road without risking sending your body to the ER. Now, putting function first can come with a sacrifice of looks, but Ritte Bicycles didn’t get the memo: the brand’s new entry into gravel, The Satyr, is one of the most beautiful bikes to appear this year.
And don’t worry, it’s got plenty of go to match the show: complementing a frame designed by legendary builder Tom Kellogg are a burly Enve gravel fork, flat-mount disc brakes and 700x43c tires that are lean enough for the road but tough enough for the trail. Meanwhile, internal cable routing keeps your components safe through dirt, mud and snow, and a custom Reynolds tube set provides the perfect balance of flexibility and stability when you’re hurtling down the mountainside.
Price-wise, the Satyr is $2,250 (frame only), with complete builds starting at $3,800, and it begins shipping the second week of January.
