In the film short “40 Years in Paris” shot and directed by J.C. Pieri, Frenchman Alain Massabova pirouettes through the City of Light in a visual tribute to both flatland BMXing and one of the world’s greatest cities. Massabova, a 40-year-old father, dances easily atop his orange bike, using skills gained over 27 years of riding to make incredible, improvisational-seeming moves look oh so easy. The video follows the biker across the relaxed cityscape, sporting jeans, a blank tee, and a changing palette of Air Jordans as he rides at the Louvre, the Eiffel Tower and the Musee d’Orsay. It’s skillfully choreographed and filmed, gaining a unusual “Staff Pick” nod on Vimeo.
