Pivot has announced its latest mountain bike, the Phoenix 29, and it’s a beauty built for speed. Thanks to input from the Factory Race team, the bike has a brand-new geometry, suspension design, wheel size (29-inch) and chassis. A full carbon frame makes use of Pivot’s proprietary molding technology to weigh just 6.4 pounds while remaining incredibly sturdy. Pivot increased the stiffness and lowered the center of gravity with a 190mm dw-link suspension (a.k.a. 7.5 inches of singletrack-crushing travel).
The models range from $3,799 (for the team frame) to $,7599 for the Pro Saint kit in small, medium, large and XL. And the Phoenix 29 comes in two colors: a bright blue with orange accents and an all grey. No matter which color you opt for, you’re sure to look one thing: fast.
