Not to be left out of the spikeless golf shoe revolution adidas Golf has two new shoes coming to market this summer. We just happened to have snagged ourselves a pair of the new Adidas Crossflex for some early season testing.
Based on a tremendously successful line of Adidas running shoes the Crossflex boasts a footbed contour that’s designed to better fit the human foot and provide cushioning and support throughout the golf swing. The upper is constructed with adidas Climaproof mesh for great breathability and a soft feel — less swamp foot in humidity — yet still carries a 2-year waterproof guarantee. The Crossflex bases its traction on what Adidas is calling, “zonal traction elements” or a series of molded pod-like spikes in layman’s terms. They certainly do the trick.
If you prefer walking like we do, then you’ll find the Crossflex to be some of the most comfortable golf shoes you’ve ever worn, with super cushioning for the many traversed on the course. The shoes are also one of the lightest we’ve tested. We can even see ourselves wearing them off the course. A relaxed look and feel with athleticism in mind, the Crossflex is right in line with next generation golf apparel, and we’re just fine with that.
