Yeti isn’t known for minimalism. Or inadequacy, or meagerness, or frailty. Its coolers are overbuilt and super tough; even the softshell ones. The rest of its products, from chairs to blankets, follow that line, and its newest item, the 24-ounce Rambler mug, exhibits the concept with simple-bordering-on-amusing perfection.
Do you need a hardwearing insulated mug that can keep a beverage temperature-stable for hours, one that in volume is midway between a Gulp and a Big Gulp? Do any of us? Maybe not. But also, maybe yes. Built with the same specs as its water bottles (kitchen-grade stainless steel, double-wall vacuum insulation) the Rambler 24oz is Yeti’s take on the beer mug, but caffeine lovers will also find it suitable for an XL portion of medium roast. It’s the type of vessel you don’t have to feel bad about rolling around on the floor of a car, stashed in a cabinet on a boat or knocking around while hooked to a backpack strap. You don’t have to fill it all the way if you don’t want to, and when you’re done, you don’t have to worry about abusing it. And that’s why it’s awesome.
