Stalwart outdoors brand L.L. Bean teamed up with Maine-based Flowfold to create a new iteration of the iconic Bean Boot. Both brands have strong Maine roots and successful history of collaboration — the Crossbody Tote is one of our favorites. Since 1912, when Leon Leonwood Bean designed the first Bean Boot, its design and construction have remained relatively unchanged. Roughly 107 years later, these small batch L.L. Bean Boots are still the Bean Boots you know and love, now with a rugged sailcloth upper.
The new Bean Boots are waterproof with a rubber chain-tread outsole that’ll handle heavy downpours of snow and rain with no issues. All the boots are individually sewn in Maine, then shipped out. Choose from heathered grey sailcloth or olive and brown waterproof fabric. These only come with a six-inch padded collar. Get a pair while you can — these small batches don’t tend to last forever.
