You’ve likely heard of duck down, synthetic down and goose down. You can typically find these insulation fillers on jacket labels. United By Blue’s latest innovation steps away from the typical insulation with B100 Fill Insulation– Bison fiber. In the spirit of sustainability, UBB already cleans up one pound of trash for every product sold, and the brand is continuously looking for recycled fabrics ripe for usage. Over the past five years, UBB has worked with ranchers to figure out a way to create a problem-solving supply chain for the previously wasted bison fiber. It’s waterproof and warm down to zero degrees. The American bison survives winter every year, no matter how much snow or rain we get, so it’s no wonder that the fur can also keep you toasty. UBB launched the specialty insulation in a puffer jacket and vest, helping you to survive whatever Father Frost throws at us this year.
