While many knife manufacturers continue to stick to tried-and-trusted aesthetics, Zero Tolerance continues to lean its designs against hard angles and quality materials that make them tactically futuristic. The 0470, built in collaboration with knife designer Dmitry Sinkevich, continues that tradition.
The 0470 is a drop-point folding pocket knife with a subtle flipper tab for easy opening. Its blade is a useful 3.4 inches long and is made of CPM 20CV high-chromium stainless steel, which provides a high level of longevity against normal wear and exceptional corrosion resistance too. The handle is made of titanium with a unique carbon fiber inlay made with a process in which the carbon fibers are dropped randomly onto a plate and covered in resin. This gives the insert a wavy, rippled appearance instead of the geometric woven pattern found in most carbon fiber handles.
The 0470 employs a titanium frame lock and includes a reversible pocket clip. The knife weighs 3.3 ounces, which is light given its size and a testament to the quality of materials used in the build. Sinkevich is known for his artful and experimental knife designs, and the 0470 displays his thoughtful showiness in a subtle way that keeps it approachable for everyday users.
