There was a time not long ago when “athleisure” was the hottest trend in fitness, and wearing your workout clothes outside of a gym setting was stylish. Then, it branched out even further into a full-on cultural sensation. Outdoor Voices joggers and Lululemon sweatshirts became the uniform of Williamsburg brunchers and trendy urbanites. And just when we thought athleisure was fading from relevance, high-end cycling apparel powerhouse Rapha releases its Pro Team Transfer collection.
The collection features three pieces: an insulated gilet (vest), a hoodie and sweatpants. Each is crafted in typical Rapha style and quality, and is available in two colorways: dark navy and charcoal. Rapha pegs them as “luxury sweatpants,” and at $125+, the price point certainly puts them in that category. But if you’re looking for a pair of sweatpants that work equally well at brunch, the gym and post ride, you’d be hard-pressed to find a better pair.
