After Eliud Kipchoge’s 2:00:25 showing in Italy last year (two and a half minutes faster than the world record), it’s potentially on the table. And the shoes he wore? Nike’s illusive Zoom VaporFly 4%, which seem to be always sold out. Yesterday, Nike released an all-black, street-style version of the Vaporfly. They have the potential to appeal to both sneakerheads and hardcore runners — but take note, there’s no ZoomX cushioning like in Kipchoge’s pro-grade version.
