While most apparel brands peg themselves to batched seasonal releases, Western Rise has made a point of calendar nonconformity — it’s a strategy that allows the small, Telluride-based brand to iterate, experiment with new materials and release new products when it wants. Western Rise worked with a materials provider to create Experimental Cotton, which is a made up of cotton yarn spun around lycra fibers, and paired it with Nylon 66 for a result that feels like cotton, but is stretchier, and more durable.
