Helmed by F-stop Gear’s former Director of Development, Ian Millar, Shimoda Designs is the latest brands to take on the problem of how to most effectively carry camera gear when traveling. Its introductory collection includes two burly backpacks, a rolling duffel and a range of organizing cases that function modularly with the bigger bags. Shimoda devised each piece for rugged use with water and abrasion-resistant exteriors and features — such as a height-adjustable torso and a left-to-right rear access panel — designed specifically for adventure photographers.
