Last week, Patagonia launched the Worn Wear store, an online shop where lightly used and vintage Patagonia gear is sold at steeply discounted prices. The Worn Wear initiative is not a new one; Patagonia has offered the trade-in program at many of its brick-and-mortar stores for years. But the online shop reflects a more pronounced call for responsible consumerism by Patagonia, which as a nearly billion-dollar company has always grappled with its enormous resource exploitation and pollution. There are hundreds of products to shop now, and more are added every week.
