Stroll the streets of New York City in the summer, and you’re bound to see a few standard sights.

A guy selling delicious Italian ice out of a wheeled cart for five bucks a cup. Head-turning outfits on all manner of humans. Sweaty cops getting paid to do nothing.

Then, inevitably a pack of kids whizzing past (on bicycles or motorbikes) popping full-on, multi-block wheelies.

It’s basically one of the original bike tricks — dating all the way back to 1890 — and yet it remains among the coolest, perhaps because skilled practitioners can pull one without breaking a sweat.

Now, however, it’s not limited to semi-pros, thanks to the Wheelie Fun Bike, which lets you pop that front tire up not with learned technique but rather the touch of a button.

Wheeled science

Punny as it is, the Wheelie Fun Bike’s name is quite accurate — and made by people who know what they are doing.

Specifically, it’s something of a side hustle for Jeff McCosker, founder of Sacramento-based brand The Float Life, which has been developing accessories for the electric, semi-self-balancing OneWheel for the past eight years.

McCosker’s claim to fame is inventing the float plate that allows riders to do nose slides on the OneWheel.

Not surprisingly, the WFB leans on OneWheel’s fundamental tech, an inertial measurement unit (IMU) that shifts motor torque and speed as you lean forward or backward on the board.

push to wheelie
The most direct and magical mode: push a button and the wheelie just happens.

The WFB, meanwhile, shifts the bike’s balance onto the back wheel when you press an unmissable red button on the right handlebar.

There are even two different wheelie modes. The first, “Push to Wheelie,” lets you pop and lock a wheelie, leaning forward to speed up and back to slow down.

The second mode involves accelerating into a controlled wheelie that can help you learn the technique.

The second “Digital Wheelie Bar” lets you throttle to pop into a controlled wheelie or practice wheelies without fear of flipping; the IMU serves as an anti-looping mechanism.

The latter mode means that, while this bike is pretty focused on pure fun, it might actually help you learn to pull your own wheelies on other bikes down the proverbial road.

Mini magic

In case you hadn’t already noticed, another big thing about the Wheelie Fun Bike is that it’s, well, wheelie small.

But that doesn’t mean this thing isn’t kind of banger in its own low-riding sort of way.

Thanks to a 6-inch high-torque hub motor making peak power of 5,000W+, the WFB can top 35 miles per hour while its 10Ah 72V battery delivers up to 30+ miles of range.

The bike also boasts a house-designed tube frame, wide wheels, beefy tires, front and rear suspension, a front disc brake and a rear adjustable re-gen brake.

The brand is hazy on the details of the WFB’s suspension, but as you can tell from this pic, it exists.

It also pairs with an app that lets you monitor data and stats, change riding modes, tune the throttle and brakes, adjust the wheelie angle and take in tutorials to improve your riding skills.

As the GIFs above and the promo video pretty clearly demonstrate not only how it works but also that it works, the only lingering question is: where the f**k do you ride it?

Ain’t no pedaling that peg, bruh.

Without pedals, lights or indicators (although the latter two could be added aftermarket), it essentially exists outside of typical e-bike classification or any other system for which you could register to could make it road legal.

Which I guess makes sense, because when you can pop wheelies for days, it’s probably not long before you start to feel above the law.

Availability and pricing

The Wheelie Fun Bike is available for pre-order now for $2,995. Shipping is expected to begin in January 2026.
