Daniel Craig’s Personal 007 Triumph Motos Are Up for Grabs, But That’s Not All

Headed to auction this fall, the bikes come complete with DC’s autograph — and a chance to ride alongside his legendary stunt double.

You don’t have to be a huge James Bond fan to know that one of the staples of the franchise is epic action sequences, sometimes featuring awesome motorcycles.

The most recent chapter, 2021’s No Time to Die, is no different. In his swan song as the character, Daniel Craig (er, his stunt double) puts an enemy’s Triumph Scrambler 1200 XC to good use, memorably jumping it onto a market square in Matera, Italy.

Nicknamed “Fast Eddie,” Edmondson is a four-time World Enduro Champion who performed the iconic No Time to Die stunt at the ripe old age of 50.

Now a very special version of that bike — as well as the Tiger 900 that also appears in the flick — will hit the auction block thanks to Bonhams|Cars Motorcycles.

A pair of Triumphs

Craig himself is donating his own personal bikes (the #003/250 Scrambler 1200 Bond Edition and the #001/250 Tiger 900 Bond Edition), with a portion of proceeds going to support the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI).

This 200-year-old UK-based lifeboat service has personal meaning for Craig, as he grew up near an RNLI station and has hit the water with some of its crew members.

The bikes themselves are signed by Craig and come with original V5C documents bearing Craig’s name and a certificate of authenticity signed by both Craig and Triumph Motorcycles CEO Nick Bloor.

The auctions will take place at the Autumn Stafford Sale during the Classic Motorcycle Mechanics Show on October 12th and 13th in Staffordshire, United Kingdom, and the estimate for each of the two lots is $13,000 to $26,000.

Beyond their provenance, the bikes are festooned with 007-specific touches and high-performance traits from tip to tail.

The Scrambler 1200 Bond Edition’s 1200cc engine produces 89bhp at 7,400rpm with a peak torque of 81.1lb/ft at a low 3,950 rpm. It features a smooth-shifting six-speed gearbox and ride-by-wire control with six riding modes, cornering ABS, traction control and that unforgettable Scrambler growl.

Also a six speed, the Tiger 900 Bond Edition packs an 888cc engine putting out 87 Nm of torque at 7,250 rpm. It boasts similar ride-by-wire technology along with a premium Arrow silencer that polishes the one-of-a-kind T-plane triple engine sound.

In addition to factory-fitted Bridgestone Battlax tires, it comes with an extra set of Michelin Anakee Wild handbook-approved off-road tires, for when it’s time to get off the beaten path.

Double the fun

But perhaps even cooler for those who prioritize what these bikes can actually do over their looks and specs, winning bidders also get a chance to saddle up at the Triumph Adventure Experience in Wales alongside James Bond stunt coordinator Lee Morrison and Craig stunt double Paul Edmondson.

Nicknamed “Fast Eddie,” the latter is a four-time World Enduro Champion who performed the iconic No Time to Die stunt — at the ripe old age of 50.

After two decades competing at the highest levels, Edmondson retired from racing in 2012, and he only got into the stunt business later in life.

But considering his credits also include films from the Indiana Jones, Bourne and Star Wars franchises, he has probably got some fantastic stories — as well as plenty of great advice for riding your best, even if your wheels never leave the ground.

Let’s be honest: Whoever wins these bikes will likely put them on display somewhere, rather than take them out riding every weekend. So hitting the road with Edmondson may very well be the closest they get to feeling like 007 himself.
