Who doesn’t love Ikea? The world’s largest furniture retailer strikes that rare balance between form and function, selling homewares aren’t just cheap but thoughtfully designed and downright fun.
Ikea also makes really good meatballs, but that’s not why we’re here. No, it’s because the company just unveiled a new collection called Tesammans, and in it is a lampshade I think you should buy. Like, right now. In fact, buy several. Tell your friends. It’s awesome … and it will probably sell out.

Ikea Tesammans Lampshade
Reimagining a 1980s Classic
While the limited-edition Tesammans lampshade is new to Ikea’s catalog, it channels an iconic design from 1983 that’s credited to Bent Gantzel-Boysen (who also designed high-end lamps for Louis Poulsen).
That lamp was called the Duett and it’s highly sought-after by vintage Ikea collectors — yes, they exist — retailing for hundreds on secondhand sites like eBay, Etsy and 1stDibs.
