I’m fed up with losing and forgetting my damn keys so yes, I’m writing about a deadbolt.
Not just any deadbolt though. This one is from Kwikset’s Maximum Security line. An electronic keypad powerbolt door lock that will virtually eliminate return trips to the office, car or (ahem) an embarrassing return trip to a late night rendezvous.
The one touch locking full 1″ projection deadbolt is controlled by a four to eight digit personal entry code, requires no wiring, and installs like any standard deadbolt. Powered by 4 batteries (pray you don’t ignore the low battery indicator), the Kwikset will keep your door locked and your sanity in check. It’s available in brass (Ed: yuck), venetian bronze and smooth satin nickel.
What this means to you: A biometric option would be handy. Otherwise, this is a new favorite addition to my home.
