This Ultra-Popular Sous Vide Circulator Just Got Way, Way Better

Anova’s Precision Cooker was already one of the two best sous vide circulators money could buy. Now it’s better in every way.

The Precision Cooker circulator has reigned as one of the best-reviewed and most popular sous vide tools on the market for years. It’s more accurate, heats faster and is easier to use than virtually everything else out there (it’s biggest competition is ChefSteps Joule). Anova, the brand that makes the Precision Cooker, says it’s about to get better.

Available for pre-order on Anova’s site, the remodeled Precision Cooker dials up the wattage to 1000 (from 900), upgrades the waterproofing to IPX7 and cuts two inches from the height of the original, making it much easier to stow after cooking sessions. The brand said its app, one of the key areas the product lagged behind its competition, was also redesigned. The new model keeps Anova’s market-leading 2-year warranty as well.

The improved circulator can be pre-ordered for $130 now.
