It’s difficult to beat the Bonavita 8-Cup One-Touch Coffee Maker, a SCA-certified coffee maker made by a company whose sole purpose is the creation of coffee equipment that’s half the price of the competition. That’s especially true today. Now, the hanging basket version of the brewer comes in black.
Bonavita’s collection of coffee brewing gear is great for many reasons — all its brewers turn out Gold Cup standard pots of coffee, take up very little countertop space and are easy as hell to use. But if we were to distill why we named its 8-cup drip coffee maker our overall favorite coffee maker, it boils down to two things: price and performance.
The brewer is virtually the same, apart from the updated dock and tank color. For less than $100, you get a kick-ass coffee maker with optional pre-infusion settings, a flat-bottom filter basket and careful brewing temperature regulation.
