There is Ikea hacking, then there’s Reform. The Copenhagen-based company collaborates with Scandinavian designers to provide easy-to-install upgrades to already-in-place Ikea cabinetry and countertops, and because each line comes from the brain of a different designer or design studio, options avail.
The premise is pretty simple: measure your kitchen, install Ikea cabinetry and countertops, choose your Reform redesign, pass along your order drawings from Ikea and your new kitchen facade arrives a couple months later. Because Reform’s designs fit over the Ikea gear, you only need to install the hinges — the rest snaps into place without much issue.
