Before it even made it to market, Knob Creek’s to-be-released rye took home one of the biggest awards in spirits – Best Rye Whiskey at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition.
The limited-run rye is set for a summer release, and has three very, very notable attributes: it’s cask strength, it’s aged 9 years and it’s not that expensive ($70 SRP). All these combined make it even more unique. Seldom are rye whiskeys released at cask strength or with 9-year age marks (rye whiskey’s sudden spike in popularity has made sure of that), making the usually pricey $70 tag a bit more palatable.
Knob Creek has not yet released an official availability date or a number of bottles available.
