It features furniture made from scrap pine and textiles with hand-drawn patterns.

Dutch designer Piet Hein Eek partnered with Ikea for the new Industriell collection, made up of products that are imperfect by design. The new range includes both housewares — from textiles with hand-drawn patterns to irregular ceramics — and furniture. Notably, the chairs and tables in the Industriell collection are made from pine wood that’d normally be considered scrap and, as such, each piece is characterized by unique blemishes, knots and grains. The collection will be available in Ikea stores in April this year.
