A good kitchen thermometer — one that’s fast, sturdy and accurate — is hard to find. Swedish kitchen-gear purveyor Professional Secrets, has taken to Kickstarter to create a solution. Dubbed “Perfect,” the temperature probe offers industrial-grade quality in a home cook–friendly design (and at a lower cost). The Professional Secrets team surveyed the market and worked with industry-leading chefs to create a solution-oriented product: one whose thin probe won’t damage fragile foods, whose readings are accurate and fast (like under-two-seconds fast), and whose numbers are readily legible, with a large LED screen.
The Perfect kitchen thermometer is expected to ship in March 2018 and will retail for $79 upon launch.
