Essentials for the Ultimate Coffee Table

Well curated, simple, sleek and organized is the name of the game in the quest for the ultimate coffee table.

The coffee table is the centerpiece of every discerning man’s home, a landing place for mail, magazines, books, empty coffee mugs, Chinese take-out containers or a host of other clutter and mess. It serves as an ottoman after a long day at the office. It gets scuffed and scraped, and develops rings from years of coffee cups set down without coasters. In a way, it gets taken for granted and disrespected. This isn’t always how things used to be, though. Before the advent of media hearths and home entertainment systems, the coffee table was sacred ground. It held inspiration for topics of conversation among friends. It displayed prized accouterments that homeowners were proud to show. We feel that it is time for the well-curated coffee table to make a comeback.

The perfect coffee table is an expression of who you are and how you present yourself to those who visit your home. It sits as the centerpiece of what is often the most used room in your home or apartment. Because of these considerations, it is important to put some thought and effort into what occupies the space in the center of the room. Empty beer bottles, take-out menus and scattered remote controls are unacceptable. Simplicity and thoughtfulness are the name of the game.

The Table

A well-crafted table is just as important as what goes on it.
