Discovering great products isn’t just something Gear Patrol staffers do for a day job. It’s a kind of an obsession — one that informs both what we get for our friends and family, and what ends up on our own lists. This holiday season, in addition to publishing a bevy of holiday gift guides for you to sift through, our staffers are letting you take a peek at their go-to gifts. See more here, and check out our other holiday gift guides.

I saw someone on Instagram wearing these, and now I want to wear these on Instagram. I’m pretty sure they’ll make me look like I have the feet of the Michelin man but he looks super cozy. I also like the collapsible heel so I can slip them on instead of cramming my feet in them.

This is the nicest dinnerware set I’ve ever seen, and Jono Pandolfi makes the bowls, plates and cups for a handful of Michelin-starred restaurants. Whether I’m eating a homemade gourmet meal or a bowl of cereal, these ceramics will make me feel like a million bucks.

I’ve been really big into plants for the past few months, but no matter how many I buy, my appetite (not literal) for greenery is still not satiated. I think if I go big and get one extra-large plant, it may curb my craving for plants for a while.

I don’t wear a scent, and I don’t really plan on ever buying one. But if someone got me one form Byredo, like its 1996 scent (which also happens to be my birth year), then I would be a guy who wears scents.

I haven’t had a gaming console since I was in high school, and even back then, I never got enough use out of it. Now that I’m basically at home 24/7, I’ve been itching to pick up a controller and play something. I’ve always been a Playstation stan, so it’s a no-brainer for me to pick the PS5 over one of the new Xboxes. It’s sold out everywhere right now, and I just really want to play Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales. I mean, have you seen the gameplay?!
