Nike C1ty Premium

The C1ty Premium is an upgraded take on the base model, bringing tougher materials and an outdoorsy edge that effectively turns the silhouette into a retro hiker. The shoe showcases the same suede paneling found on the original C1ty shoe, however, it replaces the standard mesh with hardwearing Cordura for a tactical edge.

HOKA x MAAP Tecton X 2

Available in a signature “limeade” colorway, the shoe is built on HOKA’s acclaimed Tecton X 2 sole, featuring a parallel carbon plate that delivers a propulsive ride on varied terrain. Reflective detailing, inspired by MAAP’s technical cycling apparel, enhances visibility on and off the bike. Hot melt overlays and splatter paint details further elevate the shoe’s design, paying homage to MAAP’s instantly recognizable aesthetic.
New Balance 204L sneakerNew Balance

New Balance 204L

New Balance sneakers tend to fall into one of two camps: techy Y2K runners or dad shoes with retro flair. The brand’s next “it” shoe is a mashup of both worlds, stringing together two distinct eras of New Balance heritage into one fresh silhouette set to dominate the second half of 2025.
Adidas

Adidas Spezial Made in Germany

These sneakers feature upgraded suede across the upper, paired with a plush leather collar and more precise stitching than you’ll encounter on the Samba or even inline Spezial. What’s more, Adidas opted to endow this release with a simple blue-and-white colorway that will undoubtedly earn it a place in the history books as one of the brand’s best efforts on an unsung model.
Danner FullBore ID Hiking Sneaker profileDanner

Danner FullBore ID

The FullBore ID’s upper is made from suede and nylon, a classic combination that offers both stylishness and durability. Wedged between the upper and the outsole is a Danner Plyolite midsole, offering plenty of cushion to keep your feet comfy no matter the terrain. To take that a step further (pardon the pun), these sneakers also have a removable OrthoLite footbed to offer a little more comfort and support. And there’s a mesh lining to keep everything breathable, making these shoes great for summer adventures.
Adidas Chavarria Jabbar sneakerAdidas

Adidas Chavarria Jabbar Dress

The limited-edition Chavarria Jabbar Dress reimagines the evergreen sneaker as an upscaled dress shoe, complete with enhanced leather, waxed laces and a sculpted toe box that’s more pointed than the original. This variant also diverges from the classic Jabbar with a wordmark on the lateral side of each shoe. Interestingly, one reads “Kareem” while the others reads “Willy.”
Madewell x Reebok Club C 85 Sneakers profileMadewell

Madewell x Reebok Club C 85

Like its numerous predecessors, this take on the Reebok Club C 85s maintains a lot of the sneaker’s iconic details. This includes its tumbled leather upper, giving it a creamy off-white appearance. It also gets a rubber outsole, although it sees the midsole swapped for more modern, comfortable EVA foam. This version also has a terrycloth lining, which is soft to the touch and allows for them to be worn with or without socks while remaining cozy.
Nike Field General ParachuteNike

Nike Field General “Parachute Beige”

Unlike most other versions of the Field General to date, “Parachute Beige” sees the design take on a monochromatic getup that stands apart with its tonal upper, logo and midsole. What’s more, Nike went with a palette that places the shoe more in desert boot or Clarks Wallabees territory than anything resembling the Adidas Samba — its closest competitor from across the aisle.

Hoka x Supervsn Clifton One9

Introduced late last year, the Clifton One9 updates the super-popular and iconic Clifton with a TPU film overlay on top of the open-hole mesh upper, a slim, race-ready tongue, Hoka’s finest foam and a 32mm stack height. With this collaboration, that already compelling package gets three eye-popping yet elegant colorways: Mantis Green, Ice Grey and Neon Gold (which will get a very limited run of 99 pairs, making it the rarest Hoka ever made).
a pair of new balance sneakersHuckberry

New Balance 2002R Dark Juniper

This throwback to the early 2000s is a derivative of the 990 series, with a similar toe box design, but New Balance added the springy N-ergy outsole system. The upper has suede over nylon mesh panels. It sits on New Balance’s signature ABZORB midsole and has a heavily padded collar for support.
Nike Total 90 SneakerNike

Nike Total 90 Premium

Unlike the glossy uppers of Total 90s, this one gets premium material upgrades, utilizing a combination of leather and suede. Furthermore, the upper material is distressed out of the box, giving it a lot more character than its shiny sibling. Admittedly, this sneaker is probably going to be a lot more divisive than the Samba for a number of reasons. However, it’s a bold choice for Nike and could be a sleeper hit for those not afraid of a little originality in their style.
Vans Authentic VibramVans

Vans OTW Authentic Zip Vibram

First the first time ever, the Vans OTW Authentic Zip Vibram sees the classic design take on a Vibram Vulc Tank Tread outsole. This not only injects the classic shoe with extra traction and grip but increases its durability tenfold compared to standard Authentic models made with vulcanized rubber. That ethos also shines on the rest of the upper and midsole, starting with a higher-than-average sidewall and knurled rubber heel counter — not to mention a reinforced toe cap for extra impact protection. Casting its namesake attribute aside, however, the shoe’s most novel feature is undoubtedly its stretchy neoprene upper inspired by wetsuits and booties.
Adidas SL 72 SneakerAdidas

Adidas SL 72 RS

Quietly released on Adidas’s official website, “Aurora Ivy” and “Earth Strata” see the SL 72 adopt dark green and light brown uppers — two fall-friendly departures from the bright hues that traditionally adorn the retro model. That said, there’s more going on here than a simple color swap. Nylon makes way for a knit textile as the base material of the upper, matching the textured tongue while imbuing the shoe with late-summer breathability.
Converse Road Classic SK OXConverse

Converse Road Classic SK OX

The Road Classic SK OX boasts a mixed-material upper that combines canvas and suede, with paneling around the heel and toebox that’s reminiscent of the Adidas Samba. That said, the Road Classic SK OX avoids being an all-out Samba dupe, with a tacky, rubber sole that follows in the footsteps of shoes like the Nike Killshot 2, giving it a leg up for use actually skateboarding. The only thing missing is notoriety outside of Japan, where the shoe has remained exclusive since launch. In other words, make sure your checked bag has some spare room for the way back.
Vans Old Skool 36 FM ShoeVans

Vans Old Skool 36 FM Shoe

This design still resembles the original Old Skool sneaker in both name and style. However, many of its elements are a major departure from the classic skate shoe. And they’re largely drawn from the outdoor industry. Take the upper, for instance. Instead of a solid canvas, this shoe sees it swapped for a more breathable, mesh-like “lofted engineered-knit” cotton. It also sees the classic eyestays swapped for rubberized ones that connect to the sneaker’s signature side stripe. Speaking of the side stripe, this crucial element is also different on this shoe. Instead of a strip of leather, this version is a 3D-injected synthetic.
