Even for Crocs, These Camo Clogs Are Bold

More than 20 years after the brand’s launch, Crocs seems practically unstoppable. Once decried as ugly, weird and only fit for the likes of line cooks and children, these foam-based clogs have become a genuine powerhouse in the fashion world.

While some recent releases have pushed their functional limits, like these outdoor-going rubber-bottomed ones, others have scooted further into the realm of streetwear.

The brand’s latest collaboration, the Aries Arise x Crocs Classic Clog, almost hits it from both angles. These camo clogs clearly have outdoor inspo, but they fit better in the city.

London clog

This is actually the second collaboration between Aries Arise and Crocs. This go-around, the product takes inspiration directly from the former’s birthplace: London, England.

More specifically, the styling of these clogs draws directly from late-night walks through the city, and they are styled to evoke the combination of the urban landscape and the nature found between the cracks.

This shoe is unique in its camo pattern, which is available in two colorways: High Shine Black and Dark Algae Green. It’s a mixture of organic and artificial shapes that stands apart from your typical military camouflage.

But that colorway is only a part of the story. Numerous details and some exclusive touches are also included, and they’re only found on these specific Crocs.

Foliage footwear

Along with the distinct camo pattern on these clogs, there are some other neat details you won’t find on other Crocs. For instance, the adjustable back strap, which combines a Croslite pad with a webbing strap, comes with exclusive Aries “Temple” logo hardware.

On the darker shoe, it’s a little tough to see, as the hardware is also a dark gray. But the green one has it in a more vibrant metallic gold.

Those colors also extend to the other big inclusion that helps set these mules apart: their exclusive Jibbitz charms. Each shoe comes with a companion pack of charms that match the London-at-night theme.

They include things like autumn leaves, as well as metallic “magic” mushrooms and other relics the brand says can be “found in London fields.” All told, these are some of the most unique classic Crocs yet, which probably means they’re going to sell out very quickly.
