Welcome to Window Shopping, a weekly exercise in lusting over home products we want in our homes right the hell now. This week: more restaurant merch, a cool lamp and more.

The latest innovation in pantry staples is $22 vinegar. Expensive as it is, it is lightyears better than those plastic-bottled vinegars you find in the grocery store. Brightland, which rose to Instagram fame thanks to its beautifully designed olive oil bottles, recently launched Parasol and Rapture, a Champagne vinegar and balsamic vinegar, respectively. The pair is made with local California fruit, and the double fermentation adds a nice bit of funk and sourness.  Brightland recommends adding Parasol to a salad and trying Rapture in a berry tart. They’re bright and zippy, and all your meals will benefit from a couple splashes.

The coronavirus has ravaged nearly every industry in the world. Restaurants may have seen some of the greatest devastation. Restaurants have been selling branded merchandise to try to make some money to support their businesses and workers. Russ & Daughters, a New York City landmark (really a deli), just launched a tie-dyed version of its logo tee. And it’s all thanks to Jake Gyllenhaal, who sported the inspiration for this tee in an Instagram story earlier this year. Through the end of September, all proceeds will go towards the Independent Restaurant Coalition, a non-profit supporting struggling independent restaurants.

This new lamp from Gantri, designed by Nicholas Baker, reminds me of those old NES games, and that’s sort of the point. The Pixel Lamp draws inspiration from 8-bit design video games through through its gridded design. Each square allows a certain amount of line to shine through, which is how the Pixel achieves its 8-bit look. The dimmable table lamp combines contemporary style with nostalgia, and part of me wants to queue up the Super Mario Bros. theme song whenever I see it.

Tank Garage’s latest wine, Reborn, is a 50/50 blend of Syrah and Viognier. While its wines are good, purchases of this new wine will be doing real good. Tank collaborated with with Chicago-based artist Dwight White II on the label, and proceeds of sales from Reborn will go towards The Simple Good, an arts residency program, and Black Lives Matter. Tank states Reborn tastes like “a floral cherry cola with tannin, structure and pepper spice.” Those flavors, combined with supporting the Black community through your purchase, makes this wine go down super easy.
