Suitors of cult whisky producer Karuizawa are in luck, for a price. Dekanta, a Japanese purveyor of old and rare bottles, is offering 150 randomly chosen ballot winners a chance to purchase a special edition “Cities of Japan” Karuizawa 35-Year Sherry Cask whisky, complete with illustrated homages to six of Japan’s most famed cities — Tokyo, Sapporo, Nagoya, Osaka, Kobe and Yokohama. Entrants may check off their preferred city (or all of them) upon entering.

Worldwide whisky envy comes with a cost, though, so the frugal drinker may want to sit this one out. The asking price for the 150 lucky ballot winners sits at $12,500. For novices or those who prefer fewer zeros in their price tags, check out our collection of the best whiskeys under $40.
