This Monday, May 8, Best Made Co., New York–based purveyor of contemporary heritage goods, is selling off hundreds of pieces of refurbished vintage cast iron cookware. As first announced by The New York Times, the stock includes skillets, dutch ovens, waffle irons and more, most of which were made between 1900 and 1960. The bulk of the cookware comes from Griswold, a now-defunct cast iron manufacturer whose wares fetch hundreds of dollars at flea markets and auctions, and whose craftsmanship inspired the founding of Smithey Ironware. Best Made’s prices are expected to range from $50–$250, and you can be sure that the cookware will sell fast.
