Hoka may be a performance footwear brand at heart but its sneakers continue to infiltrate everyday life.
Just look around the grocery store, doctor’s office or coffee shop next time you’re out and about. Surely, someone will be rocking one of Hoka’s running-turned-lifestyle sneakers like the Clifton, Bondi or Rincon — and probably more than one.
That said, not every Hoka release starts out as a sneaker for sport. Take the Transport, Hoka’s first earnest attempt as a true everyday sneaker when it came out in 2023.

It hid performance features behind a clean, paired-back aesthetic and kicked off a series of urban-friendly silhouettes (such as the weirdly wonderful Speed Loafer).

With a new update, however, the Transport appears to be taking on a more technical edge. Called the Project Transport, the shoe features a shrouded ripstop upper with an auto-locking zipper that cover the shoe’s speed laces (carried over from the original Transport).
