This Small Brand Just Made the Best Looking Gravel Bike We’ve Seen Yet

Weighing in at 16-pounds, this custom carbon fiber gravel bike is seriously beautiful.

Argonaut specializes in carbon fiber frames that are custom built for each rider. We reviewed Argonaut’s road bike in 2017 and couldn’t get over the responsiveness and ultra-light weight of the bike. While $14,000 is a lot to spend on a bike, its performance was, rather surprisingly, worth it. Now, the brand is back with a new model, the GR2 Gravel Racer.

At 16-pounds, the bike can handle your weekly commute or a day-long race off-road. The original Gravel Racer won Best in Show at the North American Handmade Bicycle Show back in 2015, and the brand has only improved the model since then. The GR2 pairs state of the art gravel geometry and tech with a sleek design akin to a performance road bike. The entirely custom geometry means the bike will be built to suit your specific body shape and needs. You can also pick from 15 different “stock” geometries, with three color variations.

The specs are nothing short of magnificent, with a full-carbon, bladder-molded frame construction, 142 x 12 rear spacing, an ENVE GRD fork and speed-release front and rear thru-axles. It can run up to 38c tires for intense gravel races and spirited rides on logging roads.
