“If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” is a common thought in the fitness app world. For years, Strava has been the fan-favorite of cyclists and runners alike thanks to its easy-to-use tracking and team-oriented programs. Now, Strava is mixing it up and launching a new subscription service called Summit. Previously the app only offered one subscription model, but now there will be three.

Strava announced the creation of its Training, Analysis and Safety Packs, each at $3 a month (or $24 a year) or all three bundled together for $8 a month (or $60 a year). Each program offers a variety of fitness performance trackers. The Training Pack includes live data, custom goals, race analysis, training plans, and filtered leaderboards. Analysis has workout analysis, live segments, power and relative effort analysis. Ladtly, the Safety Pack offers beacon and personal heatmaps — a way for loved ones to keep track of you when you head off on that long distance trail run. All three new iterations provide summit support and summit perks. Train smarter with one or all of these new programs.
