Cotton is dead. At least, in the fitness realm, anyway. Today’s ready-to-go workout apparel is lightweight, highly engineered and designed to keep you focused on your reps rather than your sweat or stink.
And as technology advances and new manufacturing methods arise, every new product takes us further away from those raggedy college fraternity cut-offs (don’t lie, we all worked out in them). One recent example of cutting-edge workout gear is Ten Thousand’s Seamless Shirt. With body-mapped mesh for breathability and no “seams” for added comfort (more on that later), this latest training top combines a weight rack full of innovation into one impressive garment.
But it takes just one look at the new Seamless Shirt to notice the raglan “stitching” around the sleeves, as well as the collar, which had us curious if the “seamless” moniker was true to its word or just a marketing ploy. To test the comfort, as well as the technical features, I dawned this T-shirt in a variety of environments. From the gym, to the streets, the softball fields and beyond, I wanted to see if this top could take the top spot in our closet. Here’s what I learned.
