Save Up to 55%: The newest Dyson will always be the best Dyson. The brand consistently iterates and improves on its product for future generations of vacuums. That said, newer Dysons typically costs well over $500 (at present, the current release is $700). That’s where deals like this Nordstrom Rack Dyson event come in.

The sale is largely manufacturer refurbs marked down up to 55 percent off. Choice picks include the cordless V6 and Ball Multi-Floor (both released just four years ago) vacuums, which are both more than 50 percent off full retail. If you’re wary of used products, Dyson says machines sold through its refurbishment program have been tested to meet “like-new performance standards” and that products may arrive with scratches or other imperfections that don’t impact performance. — Will Price

Yamazaki Home Organization
Save 15%: Japan’s lesser-known Yamazaki is far less expensive and far more, well, useful than the world-famous whisky. In operation for more than 100 years, Yamazaki beat Marie Kondo to the tidying-up punch by a century. The company’s housewares are unobtrusive, sturdy and simple. They’re also incredibly affordable.

Its nifty rolling storage cart ($85) is slim and made of steel and real wood — not particle board and plastic screws. Its all-steel wall hanger ($69) is heavy enough to stay put when you hang a dozen coats over it. They even made a trashcan ($43) that does its job and doesn’t look goofy.

Save 49%: The Wüsthof Classic is made of a stainless steel composite containing more carbon than is normal for a stainless blade, granting it some of the attributes associated with carbon steel knives (like markedly easier sharpening).

AGV Pista GP R Carbon Winter Test 2018 Helmet
Save 44%:  The AGV Pista GP R Carbon series is essentially the top-of-the-line MotoGP motorcycle race helmet. AGV uses a super-light 100-percent carbon fiber shell and optimizes it in the wind tunnel for optimal stability, aerodynamics, and ventilation. It also has an integrated, no-fuss hydration system.

Splurging on a helmet is not abnormal. It is, after all, the most important piece of gear a motorcycle rider can buy. But, even for the everyday rider willing to spend, the AGV Pista GP R Carbon tends to be overkill for an off-the-rack helmet, with pricing sitting at around $1,600. That calculation may change with this massive discount: RevZilla is currently having a closeout sale on the 2018 Winter Test graphic version of the helmet, a limited-edition collaboration worn by seven-time MotoGP champ Valentino Rossi. You can now get it for just $900 — a $700 discount.

One potential drawback to that helmet, however — the color pattern is a bit much. Fortunately for those who prefer a bit less exuberance, this more sedate Project 46 2.0 version of the AGV Pista GP R Carbon is available on RevZilla with an identical discount. — Tyler Duffy

Save $169: For months now, we’ve been stressing that summer is the best time to score cold-weather gear, particularly awesome down jackets. I have the non-hooded version of this jacket, and it’s just about perfect for fall weather — and even chilly summer evenings.

Dropping from $379 to $210 makes for quite a steal — as long as you’re not too picky. Don’t worry, the jacket is available in small through extra large. However, only one of the dozen colors is so sharply discounted: Caribou, which is sort of a dull bronze. Black Diamond Deploy Wind Shell
Save 20%: The lighter-and-more-packable story is one that’s often told in outdoor gear. Companies have been using it since Eddie Bauer (the man, not the company) invented the down jacket in the 1930s, and you can count on them to continue to champion the message for as long as gear is made. But the thing is, it never gets old. Especially when a company like Black Diamond creates something like the new Deploy Wind Shell, a wind-cutting shield of a layer that weighs only 1.7 ounces.

Save $120: Even though there are a bunch of really good over-ear noise-canceling headphones – the Sony WH-1000XM3 being our new favorites, edging out the Bose QC35 II – there aren’t nearly as many good in-ear models. In fact, Bose makes the two best noise-canceling in-ear headphones out there. There’s the Bose QC20s ($250, wired) and the Bose QC30s ($300, wireless). TCL 6-Series 55-Inch 4K TV (2018)
Save $271: TCL’s 6-Series (2018) is still one of the best budget 4K TVs, and right now, a 55-inch model – a great size for most people – is on sale on Amazon. The 6-Series boasts very good image quality and supports both HDR10 and Dolby Vision technologies, so no matter how you stream movies or shows, or which console you use to play video games, this TV is going to perform great. It’s a Roku TV, so most people will be familiar with it (if not, its interphase is really simple to figure out).

Save $80: When they were released around two years ago, the Bose SoundSport Free were selling for $250 a pop, but Bose had since lowered the price to $200; this is the current price of the SoundSport Free on Amazon (see here). It’s true that Bose is selling “factory renewed” models, but every product comes with a 30-day trial period — if you’re not happy with the product you can return it and get a full refund.

12.9-Inch iPad Pro (Latest Model)
