Bonavita-8-Cup-Gear-Patrol-lead-full

Bonavita Coffee Maker
Save $60 Unlike kitchen gear brands who make a host of different appliances and products, Bonavita sticks to what it knows — coffee.

Despite its name, the Connoisseur isn’t snooty. It features the same Gold Cup brewing standards as Bonavita’s older brewers, a one-button off-on interface and a flat bottom filter basket. Its most notable change is the basket-to-carafe connection — instead of the basket resting atop the carafe during brewing (meaning you need to put the used grounds and filter basket on the counter or in the sink to pour coffee), it fits into a slot hanging over the pot. It’s a small change, and one we noted as one of the few issues with its predecessor.

Today on Massdrop, the Connoisseur is marked down $60 — good for the lowest price we’ve seen it listed for. —Will Price

trx strong system gear patrol lead fullTRX

TRX Original
Save $40 When arranged thoughtfully and outfitted appropriately, a home gym can be an entirely capable alternative to a pricey gym membership. It doesn’t have to call for heavy and bulky (not to mention expensive) equipment, either. TRX’s original suspension trainer was created with this type of functional minimalism in mind — it was invented by a Navy SEAL squadron commander named Randy Hetrick who was searching for a way to stay fit during deployment.
Hetrick’s original version was made of a jiu-jitsu belt and parachute webbing, but the design has since been refined. The system sets up virtually anywhere, and one size is suitable for upper body, lower body and core workouts. It comes with a mesh bag for storage and travel and includes workout primers developed by professional trainers.
Like an as-seen-on-TV contraption, it can be adapted to various workouts and targeted exercises. Unlike that hulking machine, it can be bought in fewer than 12 installments, especially now that it’s over 26 percent off — a savings of $40 — at Huckberry. — Tanner Bowden

ZWILLING-KRAMER-chef-knife-gear-patrol-full-lead

Kramer Zwilling Chef’s Knife
Save $90 For most people on the planet, buying a new Bob Kramer knife is a pipe dream. Owned by esteemed chefs and food moguls like Thomas Keller, Mario Batali, Charlie Palmer and Andrew Zimmern, Kramer’s custom knife waitlist is quite literally years long, and his knife auctions frequently see individual blades close at prices in the tens of thousands.

Thankfully, if you want a knife designed (but not made) by Bob Kramer, it’s markedly less expensive. Kramer’s series of knives produced by Zwilling are not as enviable as those that Kramer makes himself, but they much of the same knife DNA. The Kramer Euroline Essential chef’s knife sports a wide blade, polished bolster, curvy ergonomic handle and the tri-circle logo on the handle — all are indicative of a Kramer-designed blade. This is also the only Kramer-designed knife to be produced using stainless steel rather than carbon steel, making it perfect for those who don’t want to deal with the requisite maintenance of a carbon steel blade.

Today, that knife is 36 percent off — good for a $90 savings. —Will Price
