Save 16%: Now that they’ve adopted the same ripstop nylon exterior and warm fluffy interior found in sleeping bags, camp blankets have staked their resolute claim as functional outdoor bedding. Like that more traditional backcountry sleep sack, these new blankets are super-light, highly packable and incredibly warm. This newness hasn’t made long-established outdoor blankets obsolete either (if anything, it’s helped popularize them again). Those original blankets were made of wool, and there are some, like Woolrich in Pennsylvania, that continue to use the material to produce fabrics that are durable, warm and satisfyingly heavy. The Garmin Forerunner 235 is a solid pick for someone who doesn’t want to spend $500 on a smartwatch but needs it to track every single run with just the push of a button. The 235 monitors your VO2 max and heart rate throughout the day, so you can keep up with your physical fitness levels and make sure they’re all in alignment. The battery life of 12 hours or possibly 12 weeks (depending if you use GPS tracking) is hard to match. A colorful watch face comes in three different watch bands: black, red or light blue.
