Anova Sous Vide Circulator
Save 35%Getting into sous vide requires a circulator, and for that there are two choices that most reviewers and customers lean toward — ChefSteps’ Joule and Anova’s Precision Cooker. Both have apps to control temperature on your smartphone (the Joule’s app is undeniably more robust, complete with hundreds of self-guided recipes and doneness guides), and the Joule is slightly more compact, but Anova’s circulator has buttons to control the device on the actual device, a feature lacking on the Joule.

Today the split decision goes the way of the Anova Precision cooker, which is 35 percent off at Best Buy today (and, for what it’s worth, Anova’s smaller Nano Precision Cooker is also on sale, albeit less so). — Will Price

Bose QC20 Noise-Canceling In-Ear Headphones
Save $101: Even though there are a bunch of really good over-ear noise-canceling headphones – the Sony WH-1000XM3 being our new favorites, edging out the Bose QC35 II – there aren’t nearly as many good in-ear models. In fact, the Bose makes the two best noise-canceling in-ear headphones out there. There’s the Bose QC20s ($250, wired) and the Bose QC30s ($300, wireless). Both are fairly expensive, but you can get a pretty good deal on the wired models if you go on eBay right now. It’s selling the Bose QC20s for $149, which is over $100 less what Bose is currently selling them for.

Hestra Leather Gloves
Save 50%:Founded in 1936, Swedish brand Hestra makes some of the best leather gloves money can buy. Until recently, the brand was primarily known in North America as a producer of ski gloves, but it also produces a range of ready-to-wear, made-to-measure and bespoke gloves for everyday wear. The gloves are cut and sewn using traditional glove-making techniques which date back to 17th-century France.

Now at Nordstrom Rack, you can save 50 percent on a number of styles from the fourth-generation family-owned business. The gloves are cut from leathers like deerskin, hairsheep and sheepskin and features details like elasticized inner cuffs, full linings and hand-stitching. Save $225: Mechanical complicated watches are cool — we’re probably all in agreement on this one. How could something that gives you a day/night indicator or all kinds of calendar information running on a bunch of gears and wheels and the motion of your wrist not be dope? Save 20%:Founded in 2004, French footwear brand Veja champions ecologically-friendly manufacturing and fair working conditions while producing a range of tasteful sneakers. One of its notable styles, the V-10, is made from ecologically tanned leather, organic cotton and wild rubber from the Amazon. If you’re in the market for a new pair of kicks and want a pair that doesn’t have as much of an impact on the environment, these are well worth the list price. The North Face Ventrix Jacket
Save 45%: Last year, when The North Face revealed Ventrix, it’s first take on active insulation, we were skeptical. Active insulation, a form of synthetic insulation that’s meant to be worn during activity and is highly breathable, isn’t new — if anything, The North Face was quite late to the game. But Ventrix is different; its fluffy structure is perforated with tiny holes that close and expand as the body moves, allowing for dynamic temperature regulation.

It’s an awesome concept, but again, when we first heard about it, we weren’t sold. But then we tried Ventrix — on hikes and ski tours and just around town — and it worked. It worked really well actually, so we included it on our list of Best Synthetic Down Jackets of 2018. We continue to stand by that choice even more so now that The North Face has expanded the scope of Ventrix into a variety of jackets (and a pair of wild-looking shorts) for 2019.

Epperson Mountaineering Bags and Backpacks
Save 35%: California-based designer Yuki Matsuda has a penchant for well-made products. Born in Osaka, Japan, Matsuda moved to the US when he was 18 years old and immersed himself in the world of vintage clothing. He bought and sold products at the Rose Bowl market and eventually tapped some of the best craftspeople on the continent to produce some of his own designs. Matsuda works with traditional bootmakers in Maine for his footwear brand Yuketen and collaborates with artisans in Mexico for his knitwear brand Chamula. Monitaly — the clothing brand that Matsuda started in 1995 — riffs on classic American designs like military gear, Baja hoodies and parkas, and is made in America.

Z Zegna Dress Shirts
Save 48%:In 1910, Ermenegildo Zegna founded the Lanificio Zegna wool mill in Trivero Italy. Over the past century, the mill garnered a reputation for producing some of the best fabrics available and started its own luxury menswear brand. Mondaine Railways Tube Desk Clock
Save 25%: While your iPhone is a perfectly adequate time-telling device, those design-obsessed among us tend to gravitate toward something a bit more refined to do the same job. Since the 1980s, Mondaine has held the license from the Swiss Federal Railways to produce clocks and watches based on the Official Swiss Railway Clock, designed in 1944 by engineer Hans Hifiker. Over the years, they’ve produced numerous iterations of the classic Swiss model, which can often be found for sale in design boutiques such as the MoMA Design Store.
