Save $1,100: Though the brand is mostly just remembered by hardcore enthusiasts today, Glycine has long been a builder of tool watches since it was founded in 1914. Most notably, in 1953 it created one of the earliest GMT watches: the Airman. The brand continues to produce the Airman today, and through a campaign on Massdrop you have a chance to get the watch for just $550. The watch comes in a bevy of variations; a handful of different color dials are available, and case sizes ranging from 42 to 46mm. You can even choose between the GMT-hand variation or go for the “Purist” version instead, which opts for a 24-hour dial. Save $54: Last summer, when our Outdoors and Fitness Desk attended the biannual tradeshow called Outdoor Retailer — a showcase of thousands of upcoming products and gadgets — we were especially impressed with one backpack out of the hundreds that we saw: the Osprey Levity.

Why? Because it’s an ultralight backpack — Osprey gave it the slightly more hyperbolic “superultralight” descriptor — that packs plenty of features for mainstream hikers to appreciate. Like a pocket-equipped lid, a large expanding front sleeve, side holsters for a water bottle and other gear, and exterior paracord that can be used to lash essentials to the outside of the bag. And the Levity has a mesh back panel that emphasizes comfort and breathability.

Most backpacks that weigh in under two pounds (the Levity is 1.85 pounds in the 45-liter version and 1.95 pounds for the 60-liter) make sacrifices to get there — that often means fewer features and comfort, or expensive materials that drive the price up. These backpacks are often designed by custom makers and have hardcore enthusiasts in mind. However, Osprey has found a firm middle ground in the Levity; it’s still an ultralight bag that won’t be for everyone, but it can also act as an affordable and user-friendly introduction to the often-intimidating world of lightweight backpacking.

Speaking of price, the 60-liter Levity retails for $270, and because it’s a brand new product, it won’t be found in the sale section any time soon. But, right now Backcountry is holding a sale in which you can take 20 percent off one full-priced item using the code MEMORIALDAY20. Bonavita Electric Pour Over Kettle
Save 52%: Walking the pour over path requires gear, and that gear begets more gear, and that gear makes you wonder if you need another bit of gear and eventually making a cup of coffee becomes a $1,000 endeavor.

But just after choosing your pour over mechanism (the most popular being Chemex, Hario and Kalita), you need something to pour the water onto the grinds — and no, dumping the whole lot of water all at once is not a great idea. A full dump of water doesn’t allow your ground beans to aerate, de-gas or bloom, all fancy terms that, when the appropriate time is taken to pour water over with a bit more finesse, make for much better cups of coffee. Finesse is best achieved by way of a kettle with a gooseneck spout (basically a very thin spout), and that’s exactly what this heavily discounted Bonavita Electric Kettle has.

The kettle, which usually retails for $60, is $30 right now, comes with a two-year warranty, has an auto-shutoff function and brings water to perfect coffee temperature in about 3 minutes (boils in 5!). — Will Price

Dyson

Dyson V7 Vacuum
Save: $260: I won’t presume, but I for one am not driven to pick up the very newest in vacuums like I might with sneakers or whiskey. But, I do live in an apartment with other humans and dogs and do see the need to have in my possession a vacuum that’s worth a shit.

Thus, eBay brings us Dyson V7 for $191. Released in 2017, the V7 is a monster of a cordless vacuum (not quite as monstrous as the V10, but $500 cheaper) when it comes to suction, function, head rotation and clean dirt ejection. It was launched as the budget version of the V8, so it has a slightly weaker battery and suction in comparison, but is plenty to suck up all manner of everyday dirt, dust and dog hair.

This V7 deal is for manufacturer-refurbished models only, but fear not — refurbs are stringently regulated by both Dyson and eBay, as there’s no incentive for either to sell a shitty version of the product.
