The Technivorm Moccamaster has been on our list of top automatic coffee machines for years now for good reason. The machine is part work of art, part chem lab, and it sports a tall thermal carafe, all-metal brewing housing and an elegant profile. The Moccamaster, of course, brews an great cup too, since it steeps grounds for 4 to 6 minutes at an ideal temperature (196 to 205 degrees Fahrenheit). Full disclosure: we have one of these in our New York City offices and, if you’re a fan of drip coffee, we can’t say enough good things about it. It’s reliable and easy to use, and it normally costs between $250 and $320.
