About a month ago, we published a deal on Sony’s MDR-1000X wireless noise-canceling headphones; eBay was offering them for $180 each, 55-percent off the normal $399 MSRP. Today, you can still get a pretty great deal on Sony’s MDR-1000X — eBay is selling them for $200 each (here) — but you can also score a deal on Sony’s newer noise-canceling headphones, the Sony WH-1000XM2s. They usually go for $350 each, but eBay is offering them for $250.

The Sony WH-1000XM2 headphones were released in 2017 and took the place of MDR-1000X in Sony’s wireless noise-canceling lineup. Both headphones look very much alike, but the WH-1000XM2s have a slightly grippier texture and come with a few extra features, such as Sony’s Quick Attention, which allows you to instantly lower the volume of music by putting your hand over the right earcup. All-in-all, both headphones boast the same superb noise-canceling technology and audio quality, the Sony WH-1000XM2s are just a slightly newer model. (What Hi-Fi gave the Sony WH-1000XM2s 5/5 stars.)

It’s also important to note that eBay is selling “manufacturer-refurbished” Sony WH-1000XM2s. If you’re worried about them not meeting your expectations, remember that each pair comes with a warranty and a 30-day return policy.
