Acne Studios originally started in 1996 as a multi-disciplinary design studio. Though its span of specialties included film, graphic design and advertising, among others, it became known for something else entirely. Its founder, Jonny Johannson, had produced and given away 100 pairs of raw denim jeans to friends and family. They were a runaway hit and ended up in the pages of influential publications like Wallpaper and Vogue Paris, ultimately leading Acne Studios to shift its focus to fashion.
Today, Acne’s known for its minimalist clothing that ranges from coats, sweaters, accessories and, of course, jeans. They feature a range of premium Japanese denim fabrics in a spectrum of washes and silhouettes, and now you can get in on the brand’s foundational jeans (and other great garments) for half off (plus an extra 30 percent off with code ‘EXTRA30’) over at Totokaelo.
