I have not been to the so-called “great” outdoors in a while. But REI just listed a bunch of fresh Patagonia pieces at up to 30 percent off and I may or may not be trekking up Half Dome this weekend.

Patagonia’s legendary Synchilla fleece will keep me warm at base camp before I don performance pants for the hike up the legendary rock face, which I presume will be a breeze thanks to all the Patagonia gear I’m about to be draped in. And hey, once I make it back to the Big Apple, as every New Yorker calls it, the insulated overshirts and recycled wool bomber jacket are more than stylish enough and warm enough to get me through McCarren Park on a brisk December day.
